Knife River - Belgrade began construction on the Gallatin Field Airport Improvement project on June 18th, 2007. It is anticipated to last through September and will consist of the following improvements to the Airport:

 1.)   Construction of 8,333 SY of Commercial Concrete Apron

2.)   Construction of 22,750 SY of Commercial Asphalt Apron and Holding Bay

3.)   Construction of 2,930 LF of Asphalt Service Road

4.)   Construction of 7,270 SY of General Aviation Taxiways

5.)   Storm Drainage Improvements

6.)   Runway and Taxiway Lighting Improvements  

These improvements that are being constructed are part of the 20 year Airport Master Plan which will eventually help facilitate an addition to the terminal and additional airplane traffic. More about the Airport Master Plan at Gallatin Field please click here and go to the Airports site.

Project Highlights Include:

1.)   38,000 CY of Excavation

2.)   78,000 TN of Imported Pitrun

3.)   16,500 TN of Crushed Aggregate

4.)   9,000 TN of Asphalt Paving

5.)   4,000 CY of Concrete Paving
